Love Your Body.
2021 is the year for self love. If you’re reading this; let this be a sign to you… love your body!
Once I stopped looking at my body as something that needed to be changed, I started treating my body as something that should be treasured. I started to treat my body with respect. I had gained a beautiful new outlook on life. My fitness journey was no longer a burden but a journey to be healthy and strong. I began to treasure each moment, and with each moment I became more and more present. My body and I were going through this journey together.
My soul connected to my body. With each step that I would take, my legs let me move freely to get me to new destinations. My eyes helped me see so many beautiful waterfalls, mountains, trees, etc. Everything that I experienced in my body – I felt and connected to it within my soul.
You would’t judge others for the way their body looks, so why are you judging yourself?
Your Body is a Family.
Your brain is a control center. It connects to our nervous system which allows us to function our body and become aware of all of our senses. Our brain keeps all of our memories stored away until we need them. Our brains are creative and smart. We are able to learn about things that are good for us and help us survive. Our brains help us to be able to connect with others and share how we are feeling. We release hormones that are responsible for things like growth, metabolism, fertility, etc. Our brain connects to our third eye which helps us connect to our spiritual side.
We have our skin which helps us to sweat toxins out of our body and can regulate our body temperature. Our skin lets us feel the touch of our loved ones and the warm feeling of the sun kissing our skin. Without skin, we wouldn’t be able to feel our feet touch the earth. Plus, without skin, we would look pretty freaky. No matter what color your skin is, it does the same thing as everyone else’s skin so let your beauty shine through.
But what is beneath our skin is truly amazing. We have a whole body of cells and organs that fight to keep us alive. Your blood is constantly flowing through your veins the way water flows down a stream. We have cells in our body that literally fight to keep us from getting sick. We have a whole system that helps us digest our food. All we have to do is eat and our body takes care of the rest. Sometimes when something in our body may not be working correctly, the others help to fight just to keep us alive.
There are so many other things in your body that are working so hard to keep YOU alive; so YOU can live. Being alive is a beautiful gift.
Today’s Society
Something I’d like to add is that I believe a lot of our insecurities come from society. Getting bullied because of the way you look causes people to become scared to be different. There is no such thing as a perfect body. This is only a thing because we let others make us believe this is true. If no one compared their bodies to another, maybe we wouldn’t have these insecurities.
Yes there are healthy and unhealthy bodies. But this is within us. Just because someone is over weight doesn’t mean they’re unhealthy. It’s the same as if someone was underweight; this doesn’t mean they are healthy. Being healthy is a means of treating youself right and taking care of your body. Healthy bodies don’t have a specific “look”.
When I look at others I see beauty. Everything in life is so beautiful and precious and we need to love everyone and accept that being unique is so important. There’s no one else like you. You can inspire so many people just by being youself.
As long as you are taking care of yourself and becoming the healthiest version of yourself. This is the most beautiful thing.
Thank Your Body
Your body is constantly fighting to keep you alive. Thank it every day and help it fight by correctly nourishing it with all of the essential nutrients to prevent sickness. Exercise to become healthier and stronger. Stretch to focus on using and feeling every muscle and become mindful of them. Always thank your muscles and let them thank you back by making you stronger and making you feel amazing.
When we are sick, we often blame our bodies for the way we feel. We can sometimes forget that our cells are being attacked. Your body is doing everything it can to keep you alive. Look at your body and thank it for getting you this far in life. Every part of this journey your body has been with you. It will continue to fight for you each and every day.
Our bodies connect us to our souls. Without our body, we wouldn’t be living this human experience.
Never forget to love your body. But also, never forget to love yourself!
You wouldn’t judge someone else because of how they look, so why are you judging yourself?
Thank You

Really enjoyed reading this post. Loved the “thank your body” segment. I am a huge advocate of self love and acceptance. It’s so hard…for me it is a challenge I literally have to work on everyday but I think the more we talk about it the more, the closer we get!
Thank you for this post!
So glad you enjoyed this! We need to normalize self love! I hope by sharing this I can make at least one person change the way they look at themselves ❤️
Wow, this was beautifully written. I enjoyed reading every single word and really made me think of my body in a different perspective, thank you so much for sharing this gem
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! In today’s society, it can be easy to forget about all of the little things our bodies do for us! Thank you so much for your comment! I’m so glad I could help! <3
Thanks so much for this, I need to stop looking at my body as something that needs to be changed and just genuinely love me for me.
This is the key to happiness! Once you stop looking at your exterior and stop pointing out the things you dislike, you can start to accept and appreciate yourself❤️
So true! Society has changed the way we think of ourselves, but it’s so important to take our power back. Completely agree, healthy doesn’t have a “look” it’s more about how we treat our bodies. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
I agree! We have to take back the power of how we see ourselves. I feel like a lot of people look at themselves through others eyes. It can be easy to get lost in trying to impress others but it’s so important to impress yourself. This should be a priority! And having a healthy lifestyle is one of the most beautiful things you can do for yourself ❤️
What a great positive post!
Thanks so much for reading!
I LOVE this! And I loved the “thank your body” the most. I think we all need to take a minute and appreciate what our body is capable of, and sadly we don’t do that enough!
I couldn’t agree more! Our bodies are so important and a lot of us don’t appreciate them as much as we should! Our bodies are so beautiful and amazing!
Thank you for sharing this! Beautifully written. During and after pregnancy is when I fully realized how incredible/beautiful/powerful our female bodies are. We are so badass.
Pregnancy is truly amazing! The fact that we can create a whole new being in our bodies is such a beautiful thing ❤️ The female body is absolutely incredible! Thanks so much for your comment!
This is such a great post. I definitely notice a shift in society toward body positivity but you do have to look for it and follow the right people in order to see it. Thanks to some very inspiring IG accounts I know my body is beautifully normal – and I’m working on loving it!
That’s amazing! Yeah it’s important so spend time around positive people! When their energy flows with yours, it can be so beautiful
As someone with two chronic illnesses, this is something I’m always working on reminding myself: my body IS doing its best to survive, even if it feels broken.
It’s so important to remind yourself of this! This is so true your body is fighting for YOU! You are amazing! Thanks for your comment ❤️
What a wonderful great article! We can learn to love our body. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much!
Such an important message that you are putting out there. Thank you for speaking up! I especially liked the paragraph about thanking our body: you just hit the nail on its head. Our body does so many wonderful things for us only to keep us in the here and now. Being grateful for even the basics might be the truest form of self love. Thank you for bringing this wonderful piece to light! Love, Susanne
Thanks so much Susanne! Your comment made my day! I think it’s so important to be grateful for the basic things because although we are so used to these things it’s still such a blessing to have this. You could lose anything or everything at any second so it’s so important to cherish everything you have! Thanks so much for your comment ❤️
I so much agree, Ally! A different attitude towards our bodies helps a lot the mindset!
So true! Thanks for reading !
Really enjoyed reading this post. I am also on a self love journey so can totally relate to this. Thank you for sharing!
That’s amazing to hear! Self love is so important and it can be such a powerful feeling! Thank you for reading ❤️
Your positivity is a blessing!
Thank you so much ❤️
Loved reading every single word of this because I used struggle with self love so these words really hit my heart. It’s a really hard journey to be on and it’s an ongoing journey. Thank you so much for this!
It’s definitely a lifelong journey to love yourself. You will go through ups and downs but the key is to always appreciate yourself and how strong you are and try to focus on the positive things you’ve accomplished and everything that led you here! Thanks so much for being here and reading this! ❤️
Loving my body has been quite the journey, but the key mindset shift that has led to unbelievable growth in this area is *gratitude*. You’re right, thanking your body is vital to a healthy body image!
I agree gratitude is such a powerful feeling! It has been life changing in my life! Thank you so much for your comment ❤️
Loving my body is something that I need to continue to work on. Sometimes we need to quiet the outside noise and focus on the things that we can control—great post; thanks for sharing.
Love this comment! This is so true! Being in control can give you a sense of power which can really change your view of self! It can be a feeling of safety for some! Thanks so much for your comment ❤️
Great post! Very beautifully written, so honest and true.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it
Just wonderful! It is so true about the “Today’s society” section. So important to love your body and show yourself some compassion. Great post!
I think we are comparing and judging ourselves too much. Our physical appearance is not where our beauty comes from it’s our soul. Thanks so much for reading!
I enjoyed your article very much. A little self-care goes a long way 🙂
For sure! Thanks so much for reading!
What an amazing post!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve been really struggling with my body image atm, I really needed to read this, thank you for this great post 💜
I’m glad this post found its way to you! thanks so much for reading and remember beauty comes from within! A positive mindset is the key to happiness!
Such an important topic to talk about – thank you for sharing the struggle that so many of us go through with body image and the importance of loving your body, and the reminder to THANK your body. Brilliant!
Thanks so much! This topic hits very deep for me. I used to struggle with my body imagine a lot but these were some of the things that really helped me recover.
Great article! I needed this reminder as I have been going through several health challenges over the last year & my weight has increased dramatically. I loved the part about our bodies fighting to keep us alive. I definitely need to give myself more grace when it comes to body image. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! We sometimes can forget all of the good things our body is doing. We need to be grateful for all the little things and learn to accept the things we feel insecure about! It’s definitely a challenge but it can be very motivating to work towards your best self! Thanks for reading!
This is so relatable! Thanks for sharing!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Great post! I totally agree that society has had such a negative effect on our self-image as women. You have to love your body and appreciate the journey to wellness and feeling good about yourself!
Society and social media have been huge factors for my mental health. When I did my digital detox, It had such a positive effect on my mental health. Although it is beneficial for spreading awareness, it can cause many to compare their bodies and spread negativity. It’s important to remember that there is a whole world inside our bodies fighting each day to keep us alive. Thanks for your comment 🙂
This is such a positive post. Much needed one. Thanks for sharing!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading!
Great post. Very positive. I love your energy.
Thank you so much! 🙂
I love this SO much! I feel like we could all use some more self love for 2021. Thank you for the reminders!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for reading!
I love the notion that you wouldn’t judge someone else for their appearance so you shouldn’t judge yourself. We so often forget how hard we actually are on ourselves and this is a great way of remembering.
I agree. This is something that is super important to remmeber. We are just as human as everyone else so we should treat ourselves this way.
I have fought against my body for many years and only recently (I am now 40 years old) have I accepted how I am, so I started to understand that we are not being judged only for our appearance. the message you spread is very important, thank you for your sharing
That’s amazing! A lot of the time we judge ourselves based on what we think others will think about us
This is such an important subject. As the mother of a young daughter, I try so hard to not obsess, judge or critique myself harshly in front of her. Thank you for the reminder!
That is great! A lot of people don’t realize that seeing people they look up to critics themselves can cause them to do the same! That’s an amazing thing to do!
I love this! So many are constantly hard on themselves. I say I love my body but need to take care of it better. 2021 is the year I do this!
I’ve been working on taking care of my body for a while now! It’s definitely an adjustment at first but it’s so rewarding when you start feeling amazing ❤️
Really good info, thanks for sharing
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
I’ve spent a long time working on loving my body. Now that I’m in my 40s, there are times I’m irritated that there are things that hurt, but I’m learning to embrace the body I have and take care of it.
This is beautiful! There will always be times where we feel like our body is failing us but in reality it’s the complete opposite. It’s working harder than ever! ❤️
Most of us are not happy with our bodies. Thanks for making us see how to look at ourselves differently.
So glad you enjoyed it!
I absolutely love this post, how can you love someone else if you don’t love yourself? thanks for sharing!
Exactly! Love this! We can’t really understand what love is until we love ourselves! Thank you so much for your comment! 🙂
Amazing post! Society and social media are consistently trying to make us judge our bodies and hate them. I personally have experienced a wonderful transformation once I finally started moving my body and taking care of it. Thank you for sharing this ❤️
That’s wonderful. I also had a wonderful experience. I never truly appreciated my body until I started to move my body and take care of it in a new wonderful way
Loving my body has been a difficult undertaking, unsurprisingly. I find it easier to love my body when I’m using it more such as working out because I feel strong and capable. I feel like I’m respecting my body inside and out when I pay attention to how I eat and how much I move. Also, when I sleep well and take care of my skin. I feel like my body is easier to love when I do all those things consistently.
This is beautiful! Once you stop seeing your body as just an object and start to feel and understand it deeper, it is so beautiful. Thanks for your comment 🙂
I love the way you illustrate how a healthy body allows us to do so many things! Health impacts our freedom and we shouldn’t let society influence us to take our bodies for granted. It’s hard, though, with all the influencing out there. Thank you for writing this beautiful article and increasing awareness!
Thank you so much! I feel like there is not enough awareness about how our health can impact so much. Society and social media can be really harmful to our mental health. It’s so important to become aware and do whatever we can not to fall down that rabbit hole.
this is such a good post. Thanks for sharing. we live in a society where social media is not helping. we have to love ourselves and our bodies. thank you.
It’s easy to compare ourselves with social media and it’s not healthy!
Such great reminders to thank your body no matter what! It can be so healing to create that self-acceptance and praise for the skin that we live in. Thank you for sharing this message to the world!
Love the way you said this! It’s so important to accept ourselves. The only opinion that matters is our own!
This post is very nicely written! It is a very beautiful message. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Great post! These days, Instagram can really impact how we view our bodies! But we need to remember that we are uniquely made and to say thank you more often 🙂 Thank you for sharing.
Social media can be very harmful to our mental health. It’s important to remember that you don’t need to look a certain way to be healthy. We are all beautiful!
This is *such* an important topic! Diet Culture is horribly oppressive. Thanks so much for sharing your perspective and allowing others to see that their body is beautiful *exactly* as it is. <3
Thanks so much! Positivity is so important❤️
Yes! Yes! Yes! This is exactly what we all need. Love and body positivity. Things will never change if hate is involved, only when you fall deeply and insanely involve with yourself you are capable of making different choices, better choices, healthy choices. Thanks for the reminder. You have gained a subscriber
Thank you so much! That means the world to me! 🥰 I think the key is to surround yourself with as much positive people as you can. The positive energy will attract others ❤️
Very true, once I learnt self-love I became a much happier person <3
I agree! I was very hard on myself in the past but now I realize that I deserve to be happy!
I really really really enjoyed this post. Much needed. I’m a self-love loverrrr but it can be hard sometimes. Love and power to you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Self love is so important and I am trying to bring awareness to as made people as I can! Thank you so much for being here ❤️
As I was reading, this reminded me of a couple of quotes I heard. The first: Workout because you love your body, not because you hate it and the second: Don’t compare yourself to others highlight reel. While this can represent many different things, but in particular when you started talking about society – my first thought was thinking all the photoshop magazines. And as you touched on many other aspects, it comes down to loving and appreciating your body which everybody needs to a refresher in doing that.
Love this!! I think it’s hard for us to see the beauty when we’re always looking at ourselves through others eyes. It’s definitely important to acknowledge our beauty and health! Thanks so much for your comment 🥰
Thank you for this post. We do need reminders that we need to love our body.
Self-love is so important. I’m glad I can use my words to help motivate people to become more confident in their skin!
“Thank your body” so simple, yet it feels so foreign. What a wonderful reminder that we are the most perfect version of ourselves; we must treat our bodies with the respect we deserve!
This is so true! Thanks for your comment!
I feel like I meditated with you when reading this post. Such true and important words. Thank you for sharing them. Side note, I really love your blog, it’s so pretty 😀
I’m so happy you enjoyed this! Thank you so much for this lovely comment!
Very good post about loving your body. Highly informative for women and nicely written. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
I agree with your opinion. Sometimes, we are forget to love our body. We are too busy for makes our body goals like others opinion. We don’t have time to gratefull with all of our condition.
Now, we must love our body. What ever its look like.
All bodies are beautiful. We shouldn’t change our bodies to impress anyone else. We should only change our bodies to feel good and become healthier and stronger!
Love the concept of thanking your body!
I think this is so important. Our bodies do so much for us that we should be thanking them and taking care of them properly!
What a wonderful read !
First thing about self live is living our bodies. It took me lot time to understand that but I’m happy to finally love myself the way I am.
That is amazing! Loving yourself is such a beautiful type of love.
Yes I agree, we need to learn to love our bodies just the way they are and stop comparing because everyone is different and beautiful in their on way!
This is beautiful! I agree I think there is so much beauty in the world that we would never be happy with a certain body type because all body types are beautiful. Just showing love to your body is the best thing you can do!
Thank you for your beautiful words! As I trauma survivor, I’ve often felt very detached from my body, and spent years abusing it. I’ve been on a journey towards deep self love and self acceptance for the past few years. Beginning a meditation practice was key for me…to be able to slow down my thoughts and bring awareness back to my body. Great post!
That’s so amazing! Self-love can be hard at times but it’s really such an amazing thing to do for yourself! Sending love!
Yasss! I love this so much. I have really been working on trying to accept and love my body as it is and it is so freeing to feel comfortable in ones own skin. Thanks for this motivational article! Loved it!
That is amazing! I used to feel very insecure and uncomfortable in my body. I always felt like I needed to change it but when I started my self-love journey, I began to love myself and it was the most beautiful feeling!
this is a great reminder! thanks for sharing and bringing this up to be gentle with our own skin and flaws
It’s so important to remember this! Thanks for reading!
