Negative Mindset (Where Have I Been?)

Hello beautiful! You may have noticed that I haven’t published a new blog post in a while. I want to be real and talk about my struggles as much as my achievements on here. So let’s talk about my negative mindset and why I haven’t posted much lately.

To be honest, I spiraled into a negative mindset lately. I didn’t feel comfortable writing in that state. There were lots of personal issues going on that I had been dealing with and it took up all of my energy in a negative way. I needed a break from social media and the internet so I took a break from blogging as well.

My Negative Mindset.

With all the stress of the pandemic and knowing there are so many suffering from sickness and loneliness as well as dealing with family issues, it has been a hard month. I know a lot of you can relate. So I wanted to talk about my break and how it affected my spiritual journey.

The truth is, breaks are necessary. Throughout life, you are going to hit some bumps in the road. Whether you are practicing spirituality or self-love or not, this is normal. But it’s important to listen to yourself while healing and moving on from certain situations. We have to figure out the ways that help us cope with stressful situations. That’s what this journey is all about; accepting our feelings and learning ways that make you feel better.

I was feeling very anxious, emotionally drained, and not motivated to get out of bed in the mornings. I even stopped doing yoga and I lost my appetite for a while. The feeling of depression was hitting me hard and it was so strong, it took so much out of me.

But I knew that it would pass. Even though I felt like it was never-ending, I kept telling myself that this won’t last forever and I will get through this. Although I felt hopeless in so many ways, I never lost my motivation to love myself. I knew I would feel happy again.

When I was ready I started doing yoga again and I tried to eat as healthy as I could because I knew I needed to push through and take care of myself. And since the pink supermoon in Canada the other night(April 26), I now feel super refreshed and recharged and back to myself more than ever!

Never Give Up!

No matter how far into your spiritual journey or self-love journey you are, there are always going to be downfalls (as there will in any journey in life). But with each downfall, you will learn to grow and cope in new ways. You will continue to become stronger and learn how to take care of yourself when these things happen.

This was not my first downfall whatsoever! You may be thinking wow you’ve handled that so well, that’s so unrealistic. But I’ve been through this before and I’ve always come back stronger and happier. When I’m feeling low, I listen to myself. I write down my feelings and get it all out and accept them.

For me taking a break from social media and my blog helped me to reflect and get back to being myself. I didn’t let my negative mindset get in the way of me feeling my emotions and accepting them. I knew I just needed a break so I took one as long as I needed. This helped me to heal.

No matter how hard it gets, don’t ever stop believe there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. If you keep believing, it will come.

It’s possible to change negative mindset into a positive one. Don’t ever give up.

Love Your Body.

2021 is the year for self love. If you’re reading this; let this be a sign to you… love your body!

Once I stopped looking at my body as something that needed to be changed, I started treating my body as something that should be treasured. I started to treat my body with respect. I had gained a beautiful new outlook on life. My fitness journey was no longer a burden but a journey to be healthy and strong. I began to treasure each moment, and with each moment I became more and more present. My body and I were going through this journey together.

My soul connected to my body. With each step that I would take, my legs let me move freely to get me to new destinations. My eyes helped me see so many beautiful waterfalls, mountains, trees, etc. Everything that I experienced in my body – I felt and connected to it within my soul.

You would’t judge others for the way their body looks, so why are you judging yourself?

Your Body is a Family.

Your brain is a control center. It connects to our nervous system which allows us to function our body and become aware of all of our senses. Our brain keeps all of our memories stored away until we need them. Our brains are creative and smart. We are able to learn about things that are good for us and help us survive. Our brains help us to be able to connect with others and share how we are feeling. We release hormones that are responsible for things like growth, metabolism, fertility, etc. Our brain connects to our third eye which helps us connect to our spiritual side.

We have our skin which helps us to sweat toxins out of our body and can regulate our body temperature. Our skin lets us feel the touch of our loved ones and the warm feeling of the sun kissing our skin. Without skin, we wouldn’t be able to feel our feet touch the earth. Plus, without skin, we would look pretty freaky. No matter what color your skin is, it does the same thing as everyone else’s skin so let your beauty shine through.

But what is beneath our skin is truly amazing. We have a whole body of cells and organs that fight to keep us alive. Your blood is constantly flowing through your veins the way water flows down a stream. We have cells in our body that literally fight to keep us from getting sick. We have a whole system that helps us digest our food. All we have to do is eat and our body takes care of the rest. Sometimes when something in our body may not be working correctly, the others help to fight just to keep us alive.

There are so many other things in your body that are working so hard to keep YOU alive; so YOU can live. Being alive is a beautiful gift.

Today’s Society

Something I’d like to add is that I believe a lot of our insecurities come from society. Getting bullied because of the way you look causes people to become scared to be different. There is no such thing as a perfect body. This is only a thing because we let others make us believe this is true. If no one compared their bodies to another, maybe we wouldn’t have these insecurities.

Yes there are healthy and unhealthy bodies. But this is within us. Just because someone is over weight doesn’t mean they’re unhealthy. It’s the same as if someone was underweight; this doesn’t mean they are healthy. Being healthy is a means of treating youself right and taking care of your body. Healthy bodies don’t have a specific “look”.

When I look at others I see beauty. Everything in life is so beautiful and precious and we need to love everyone and accept that being unique is so important. There’s no one else like you. You can inspire so many people just by being youself.

As long as you are taking care of yourself and becoming the healthiest version of yourself. This is the most beautiful thing.

Thank Your Body

Your body is constantly fighting to keep you alive. Thank it every day and help it fight by correctly nourishing it with all of the essential nutrients to prevent sickness. Exercise to become healthier and stronger. Stretch to focus on using and feeling every muscle and become mindful of them. Always thank your muscles and let them thank you back by making you stronger and making you feel amazing.

When we are sick, we often blame our bodies for the way we feel. We can sometimes forget that our cells are being attacked. Your body is doing everything it can to keep you alive. Look at your body and thank it for getting you this far in life. Every part of this journey your body has been with you. It will continue to fight for you each and every day.

Our bodies connect us to our souls. Without our body, we wouldn’t be living this human experience.

Never forget to love your body. But also, never forget to love yourself!

You wouldn’t judge someone else because of how they look, so why are you judging yourself?

How To Evolve Spiritually. The thing that no one How To Evolve Spiritually.

The thing that no one tells you about evolving spiritually is that your spiritual journey is a lifelong process. You may have multiple spiritual awakenings. 

You will have ups and downs where you will feel confusing about life, you may feel sad about being alive, fearful about what comes after life, or you may feel joyful and full of love and excitement for all living things. 

Your emotions will spiral. But you will gain a whole new outlook on life. A lot of people get scared when they hear these things but I promise you there is nothing to be scared of.

Having a spiritual awakening can be beautiful. You start understand so much more. It has completely changed my life in the best way.

Don’t try to force a spiritual experience. Instead work on practicing inner work to help control your mind and become closer to connecting with your higher self. 

Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get there right away. It will come when you’re ready. I’ve had multiple spiritual awakenings. I had my first one and it really opened my eyes. Then I slowly drifted away from the feeling but it has always come back for me. And every time it does, it’s stronger! I feel more spiritual then ever. 

Like I mentioned earlier. It’s a life long process and there are many ups and downs. But so is there in life. We try not to believe because we are scared of change. But once you get passed that fear, you can finally start to feel love and happiness.
